Dining Testimonials
I feel compelled to write this email after a brief visit to your hotel on Tuesday 16th August 2011. We were at a funeral in south Wexford, and upon insistence from a member of my group we decided to stop at the Ferrycarrig for something to eat.
The following is a quick description about the quality of food & service we received:
We were very politely directed to the Dry Dock Bar where we were greeted by a bar man with a huge welcoming smile who ushered us through an immaculate bar overlooking the very picturesque river Slaney
Robyn (our waitress) greeted us and gave us our menus along with some friendly chat and yet again a huge welcoming smile.
The bar was quite busy at the time, but I observed an adequate amount of staff to deal with the level of custom. Our order was taken very promptly by a true gentleman. We ordered both a starter and a main. Each course arrived swiftly by the ever smiling and charming Robyn. The food was amazing - we were really overwhelmed by the quality with what we received.
Unobtrusively, we were asked on so many occasions if we were ok or needed anything else. We requested a large amount of drinks throughout our meal, each were delivered with a smile and some humorous banter.
On finishing our meal we were sold (upon insistence by Robyn) the most amazing desert that bar food can offer... truly fantastic. And the coffee (better than anything you would receive in Dublin)
When we received our bill (yet again with a huge smile from Robyn) we felt that it was slightly under priced for the level of service and quality of food we received. I was truly taken aback by what a mundane task of stopping for bar food can be, which actually turned into a most pleasurable experience.
We left with a salute from practically all the staff... yet again, amazing.
I don't write compliments or complaints with a whim... but your property and staff deserve the effort.
With warmest regards,
Luke Greene
