Over 250 professionals from the hospitality industry gathered in anticipation at the Crowne Plaza in Dublin on Sunday January 28th for the Irish Wedding Awards 2018. The awards involve an extensive process with thousands of brides and grooms nationwide nominating and voting for their top wedding venue and supplier.

To the delight of the Ferrycarrig wedding team, they were named best wedding venue in the Southeast. This was followed by an even greater achievement when the Ferrycarrig Hotel was announced as the best wedding venue in Ire-land.

The Ferrycarrig Hotel was short-listed amongst 38 other strong contenders for the Wedding Venue of the year title.

The family-owned, four-star Ferrycarrig Hotel is a member of the Griffin Group which includes Hotel Kilkenny and the world renowned Monart Spa. Ferrycar-rig Hotel is situated on the Slaney Estuary, just outside Wexford town. It is re-nowned for its friendly staff, its award-winning food and focus on the use of lo-cal and artisanal food producers along with its stunning interiors.

The Waterfront Wedding Suite went under exciting refurbishments last year, including Giorgio Armani wallpaper, a bespoke designed carpet by Couristan of New York, hand crafted ornate door frames and a soft toned leather bar front. Ferrycarrig Hotel have also recently refurbished the Bridal Suite which finishes off the perfect day in complete luxury.

The Ferrycarrig Hotel is no stranger to awards with its Reeds Restaurant named the best hotel restaurant in Wexford for 2016 and 2017 and it is listed in Leinster's top 5 restaurants by the Restaurant Association of Ireland, as well as being awarded with 2 AA Rosettes last year in recognition of culinary excellence.
